BENTONVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — A former Arkansas state representative and current county judge candidate has been released from jail following his second arrest this year.
Austin McCollum was released from the Benton County Detention Center Tuesday after posting bond, according to his booking information. He currently faces multiple charges stemming from two separate criminal cases.
McCollum, 35, was arrested on Sept. 29 for first-degree stalking and violation of a protection order, marking his second arrest since August. His bond in the stalking case was set at $150,000 cash only.
The former state representative appeared in a Benton County courtroom on Oct. 5 for a hearing on a motion to revoke his bond from his initial arrest for charges, including aggravated assault. Four people testified on the state’s behalf at the hearing…
