A winter storm that swept across Arkansas in late January caused an estimated $200 million in damage to the state’s poultry industry, Arkansas’ largest agricultural sector, according to a new report from the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture.
The storm destroyed 241 poultry houses and damaged 91 more across the state, leaving producers facing months of rebuilding and lost production.
