Escaped Arkansas inmate driving stolen truck, sheriff’s office says

MENA, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The Polk County Sheriff said on Sunday that an inmate facing charges in Arkansas and Oklahoma escaped from jail and was driving a stolen vehicle.

Sheriff Scott Sawyer said in a social media post that Levi Poor, 38, escaped from the Polk County Detention Center around 12:45 p.m.

Sawyer said that Poor was last seen wearing an orange jail uniform. He later mentioned that Poor was believed to be driving a stolen red 2011 Ford Ranger with an extended cab pickup.

Poor reportedly stole the vehicle around 1:15 p.m., roughly four blocks from the detention center…
