‘They basically did this to themselves’ | Arkansas lawmakers discuss report on state employee layoffs

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Arkansas lawmakers heard a report last Wednesday on the upcoming termination of 27 Department of Commerce (ACOM) employees due to reported funding issues, which state officials later said may have been due in part to mismanagement.

The total reduction in force includes 17 Division of Services for the Blind (DSB) employees and 10 Division of Workforce Services employees.
