Arkansas accepting applications for Century Farm Program honoring 100-year-old farms

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KAIT) – The Arkansas Department of Agriculture is celebrating farm families that have withstood the test of time.

The department is currently accepting applications for its annual Century Farm Program honoring families that have owned and farmed the same land for at least 100 years.

To qualify, Arkansas farms must meet the following criteria:

  • The same family must have owned the farm for at least 100 years by Dec. 31, 2026. Ownership may pass through generations, including children, grandchildren, siblings, and nephews or nieces – by birth, marriage, or adoption.
  • The farm must include at least 10 acres of the original land acquisition and make a financial contribution to the overall farm income.
