Providence Park opens in Little Rock, providing homes for people experiencing homelessness

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KATV) — A week after its grand opening, Providence Park in Little Rock is beginning to welcome residents into what organizers describe as Arkansas’ first permanent supportive housing community for people experiencing chronic homelessness.

Founder and CEO Errin Stangner said the community held its grand opening last Friday and that the first week has been “amazing,” with community members coming out to support new residents.

Providence Park is planned to include 400 homes. Stangner said construction is underway on the first 100 homes, with five homes completely finished so far. Three residents are currently living on site, and another is expected to move in next week…
