Columbia County’s unemployment rate (not seasonally adjusted) is at 5.1 percent for February, down from 5.6 percent in January, according to a preliminary report released May 6 by the Arkansas Division of Workforce Services.
According to the report, for February Columbia County had a labor force of 9,241 persons with 8,768 employed and 473 unemployed. This compares to January’s labor force of 9,038 with 8,533 employed and 505 unemployed.
