DENVER (KDVR) — A bomb threat call intended for a New Jersey school was made to Summit High School on Friday and deputies say no threat was found at the school.
According to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, at around 2 p.m. on Friday, the local high school received a bomb threat that was meant to target a New Jersey school, which is also named Summit High School.

After the bomb threat call, Summit County deputies and the school district coordinated a search of the local high school and confirmed there was no threat.
“School district officials did not hesitate and notified the on-duty school resource officer, who spearheaded the initial response, which included a search of the school. That is what he is there for, to respond immediately to any hint of a threat.
