Health experts remind sensitive groups about current air quality

DENVER (KDVR) — Many areas across Colorado are dealing with haze on Wednesday as not only local small wildfires, but also major ones are burning nearby in Utah and Nevada.

“If you work in an emergency department during a time like this, you will see people with asthma coming in more than you normally do,” Dr. David Beuther, a Pulmonologist and Professor of Medicine at National Jewish Health, said.

He said right now, with hazy skies, people who are younger or older or have significant chronic heart and lung issues are vulnerable.
