Denver Mayor Mike Johnston says homelessness reaches 9-year low

Denver Mayor Mike Johnston said overall homelessness in the city is down 12.5%, reaching a nine-year low, according to the city’s data on street homelessness.

The 2026 Point-In-Time Count found 518  people living on the streets of Denver, which is a 64% reduction since 2023 and the lowest number on record since 2017.
