A suspect was arrested in a frightening Hermosa Beach home invasion burglary where two young children were inside the residence with a woman, officials announced.
The June 8 incident occurred at a home on Manhattan Avenue around 2:45 a.m., according to a Hermosa Beach Police Department news release. Officers responded within minutes to a report of a possible burglary in progress.
The woman told police dispatch there were two children, ages 3 and 5, on the second floor of the home. She believed the intruder had gained access through a window before she met responding officers outside the residence.
Authorities requested assistance from Manhattan Beach, El Segundo and Redondo Beach police departments, as well as the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, to help establish a perimeter in case the suspect attempted to flee…
