A suspect wanted for an assault on a police officer is in custody after a nearly two-hour police chase through Los Angeles that began and ended in North Hollywood Wednesday night.
It’s unclear exactly what time the pursuit was initiated, but the suspect was leading officers in chase on the 101 Freeway after being on surface streets in North Hollywood just before 9 p.m.
Preliminary, though unconfirmed, information suggests the driver, behind the wheel of a white Lexus sedan, was tied to an Armenian gang, was possibly armed and dangerous and was wanted on multiple felony charges.
