The University of Southern California Trojans suffered a crushing 41-27 loss to the Oregon Ducks at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Saturday night, sending shockwaves through the fan base and plunging head coach Lincoln Riley into the hottest seat of his tenure.
What stings most for Trojan nation is how quickly everything unraveled in the fourth quarter. USC fought back from a ten-point deficit to tie the game at 27-27 behind quarterback Jayden Maiava, who threw for 326 yards and two touchdowns. However, Oregon answered with 14 unanswered points to put the game completely out of reach.
