Man charged with felonies in abduction of 3-year-old boy in Amber Alert

A 38-year-old man was charged Thursday in connection with an Amber Alert issued earlier this week for a 3-year-old boy reported missing in Los Angeles who was later found safe at a Gardena hotel.

Joshua Pendleton was charged with kidnapping for carjacking — a kidnapping during a carjacking — and carjacking, both felonies. Jail records did not indicate an initial court date.
