The Stagecoach music festival held at the Empire Polo Club in the Coachella Valley was evacuated Saturday night due to strong winds, the Los Angeles Times reports.
An “Emergency Evacuation” notice was posted to the event jumbotron Saturday night, photos and video from attendees at the event show.
“The festival has been postponed until further notice,” the evacuation notice read. “Please move quietly and calmly to the nearest exit.”
The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for the Coachella Valley from 2 p.m. Saturday to 11 a.m. Sunday. Westerly 25 to 35-mph winds were forecast for the region Saturday. Gusts up to 50 mph are expected in the area. Isolated gusts up to 65 mph are forecast for mountain passes…
