LOS ANGELES – California is pouring more money into Los Angeles County’s homelessness housing pipeline while federal prosecutors continue pursuing cases alleging millions in earlier homelessness dollars were diverted.
Gov. Gavin Newsom announced Tuesday that $111 million in Proposition 1 funding will go to six Homekey+ supportive housing developments across California, including more than $36 million for Los Angeles County projects aimed at helping youth and people experiencing homelessness with behavioral health challenges.
