Emergency crews deployed helicopters and a flight medic on Friday to rescue a trapped passenger from a steep ravine.
Two people survived with moderate injuries Friday morning after their Tesla plunged 300 feet down a steep hillside off Mulholland Highway, triggering a complex, multi-agency helicopter rescue operation.
Emergency personnel from Malibu Search and Rescue, the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the California Highway Patrol, and McCormick Ambulance responded to the crash site at approximately 7:30 a.m. Upon arrival, first responders located a male driver outside the vehicle shouting for assistance, while a female passenger remained pinned inside the wreckage of the electric sedan.
