A former official of the Los Angeles firefighters union and chairman of the organization’s nonprofit foundation has been arrested and charged after allegedly transferring nearly $83,000 from the foundation to his personal account, prosecutors said Wednesday.
Adam Walker, former secretary of United Firefighters of Los Angeles City, is charged with one felony count each of grand theft by an employee or agent and forgery related to items exceeding $950 in value, according to a criminal complaint.
A joint task force from the California Department of Justice and the L.A.
