A fast-moving wildfire has exploded across the rugged high desert north of Los Angeles scorching more than 2,600 acres in little more than a day.
The blaze has forced residents to flee as firefighters battled relentless heat, gusty winds and dangerous weather conditions that threatened to make the inferno even worse.
