LLANO, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Illegal fireworks have been identified as the cause of the Summit Fire that burned nearly 2,700 acres along the Los Angeles and San Bernardino county line, according to San Bernardino County Fire Assistant Chief Kelly Anderson.
Anderson, who serves as the Assistant Chief of the North Desert Division for the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District, made the announcement Monday, July 13, during the City of Adelanto’s Fireworks Workshop.
The Summit Fire ignited on Friday, July 10, near Jesus Canyon Road East and Avenue Z in the Llano area of Los Angeles County.
