A late-night drive-by shooting outside a liquor store in the South Park area of South Los Angeles left a 22-year-old man wounded Monday, authorities said. Paramedics took him to a nearby hospital, where police later said he was in stable condition.

The Los Angeles Police Department said the gunfire was reported around 11:22 p.m. near South Central Avenue and East 48th Street, when a vehicle pulled up and someone inside opened fire on the man before speeding away. Officers responded to the scene and have opened an investigation to track down the shooter and any witnesses, according to MyNewsLA.
