Two burglary suspects are in custody after a chase through the streets of South Los Angeles Wednesday afternoon.
Officials with the Los Angeles Police Department were reportedly surveilling the suspects before initiating a traffic stop in which the driver refused to yield. At one point, police said the driver committed assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer.
While hitting high speeds, the suspect driver was blowing through red lights, weaving in and out of heavy traffic and driving on the wrong side of the road before ultimately slowing the vehicle to a stop and being quickly surrounded by officers with guns drawn.
