Authorities were focusing their attention on a damaged sedan while conducting a death investigation in Norwalk Saturday morning.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department stated that the case was reported near the 14000 block of Shoemaker Avenue around 12:25 a.m. Saturday.
LASD, in an update issued Saturday afternoon, later corrected the location to the 13000 block of Rosecrans Boulevard and confirmed that deputies were called out to the area on a possible assault with a deadly weapon.

“Upon arrival, deputies located a vehicle behind the location that had collided with a planter and electrical box,” LASD’s update reads. “They located the victim in the driver’s seat, suffering from numerous gunshot wounds to the upper torso.”
