Detectives are still searching for two people in connection with a deadly assault of an elderly man in South Los Angeles.
The incident occurred last year on July 9, 2025, as the victim, Dong Wie, 78, was targeted during an apparent theft on the 1700 block of West Imperial Highway, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
