A high-pressure ridge that has kept Southern California under extreme heat conditions for weeks remains in place Wednesday, but there are finally signs of it weakening in the coming days.
“The ridge begins to break down on Monday and continues into Tuesday,” the National Weather Service said in its Wednesday morning forecast discussion. “This should lead to two days of cooling and an elimination of the need for heat products.”
