More than four decades after a mysterious man walked into an Idaho church and died from cyanide poisoning, authorities say they have finally identified him, and they are now examining a possible connection to one of the nation’s most notorious unsolved murder cases.
The man, known for decades as the “Unknown Wanderer,” was identified as Dr. Mathew Francis Betkouski, the Ada County Sheriff’s Office announced in a press conference last week.
