LAPD cruiser slams into metal fence in Baldwin Hills neighborhood

A Los Angeles Police Department SUV crashed into a metal fence during a possible pursuit in the Baldwin Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles overnight.

The police cruiser hit the fence near the intersection of Coliseum Street and Nicolet Avenue around 11:30 p.m.

The crash is believed to be the result of a pursuit, stinger news service OnScene.TV reported. Authorities have not yet confirmed any details about the crash.

Video from the scene showed the SUV wedged into a portion of the fence that was bent to the ground as a result of the crash.

One person was seen being taken into custody as a crowd gathered on a street corner near the crash site.

Damage could also be seen on at least two other vehicles, possibly caused by a separate collision involving the suspect.

It was unclear if anyone was injured in the ordeal.
