Major Flood Event Expected in California, Evacuation Warnings Issued

A rare “high risk” of excessive rainfall has been issued for parts of Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, and Ventura Counties in Southern California through the rest of Sunday (see above) and once more on Monday! The high risk means that widespread flash floods are expected, some severe. Even areas that don’t normally experience flash flooding could experience it in this case. Lives and property may be in greater danger as mudslides and debris flow are possible in flash flood events.
