A Long Beach man was arrested Saturday evening after allegedly forcing his way into a woman’s home in East Hills, assaulting her, and violating a court-issued order of protection, Nassau County police said.
According to detectives, officers responded to a 911 call at a Canterbury Lane residence at approximately 5:28 p.m. on April 25. Investigators determined that Shawn Morgenroth, 43, unlawfully entered the home of a 39-year-old woman without permission.
Once inside, police said an argument broke out between the two. During the confrontation, Morgenroth allegedly grabbed the victim’s cell phone and prevented her from leaving the residence.
