South American ‘crew’ arrested in Canyon Country burglary, LASD says

Four people suspected to be members of a “South American burglary crew” were recently arrested for burglarizing a Canyon County home on May 1, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department announced Monday.

The suspects are accused of stealing jewelry, cash, and other valuables worth thousands of dollars, according to LASD’s Santa Clarita Valley station. The sheriff’s office was unable to confirm if the suspects were foreign nationals or U.S. citizens associated with a foreign criminal organization.

Three men were initially arrested and booked into the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail in connection to the case. A fourth suspect allegedly attempted to run from authorities but was arrested Monday.
