A man who barricaded himself inside a Los Angeles home after allegedly stabbing his father early Tuesday was found dead following an hourslong standoff, police said.
Officers responded to reports of a suspect stabbing a family member at a home in the 1700 block of West 37th Drive in Exposition Park around 4:30 a.m., a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson confirmed to KTLA.
After the stabbing, the 31-year-old suspect barricaded himself inside the residence, prompting authorities to call in a SWAT team.
The victim, identified as the suspect’s 58-year-old father, was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. His condition was not immediately known, police said…
