Six Flags Magic Mountain closed as LASD investigates bomb threat at Valencia theme park

A bomb threat at Valencia’s Six Flags Magic Mountain on Monday morning prompted a search and investigation by law enforcement authorities.

The threat was received at 7:45 a.m., nearly three hours before the theme park at 26101 Magic Mountain Parkway was scheduled to open, prompting a response from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and California Highway Patrol.”

The park remained closed as of 11:30 a.m. A sheriff’s spokesperson said the investigation was nearing its conclusion and the “all clear” was expected to be given “soon.” Magic Mountain officials would decide whether to open the park, the LASD spokesperson said.
