The Acapulco Restaurant and Cantina at 722 Pacific Ave. in Glendale will soon close after serving the local community for 57 years.
The City of Glendale’s Director of Community Development conditionally approved the Mexican restaurant’s demolition on March 27, which will make way for a proposed car wash.
“The project includes 29 surface parking spaces, consisting of 26 spaces designated for self-service vacuum use and three spaces for staff and customer parking,” a public notice for the project reads. “The car wash building will include [a] vehicle wash tunnel, a first-floor office, equipment and vacuum rooms, restrooms, and a storage room.”…
