L.A. County Sheriff’s to Hold Motorcycle Safety Enforcement Operation in West Hollywood

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department will deploy extra deputies in West Hollywood on May 18, in a targeted motorcycle safety enforcement operation aimed at reducing crashes and improving roadway safety, officials announced.

The enforcement effort will run from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will focus on violations committed by both drivers and motorcycle riders, according to the department.

Authorities said the leading causes of motorcycle crashes in California include unsafe speed, improper turning, right-of-way violations, driving under the influence and unsafe lane changes.
