Six days to shutdown: Businesses bracing for the impact of I-65 repairs

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The shutdown first announced in August 2025 is now just days away.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) says they need to close the interstate to make critical repairs and extend the lifespan of the bridges.

While many Louisville drivers will take local roads, the main detour to get around the shutdown is I-264.
