LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – At a hearing on Tuesday, May 26, a judge has denied the Commonwealth’s bond increase request in the case of Dasharay Ben’e, who has been charged in the death of Ayanna Wilbanks, 19, who was killed in a crash on Logan St. on Thursday, May 14. Ben’e was the driver.
Ben’e is charged with vehicular homicide while under the influence of alcohol. Additional charges listed include first-degree criminal mischief, first-degree wanton endangerment, failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security, and operating a motor vehicle under the influence.
