LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Dozens of people gathered for the Mothers of Murdered Sons and Daughters of Kentucky’s End Gun Violence Awareness Walk, honoring loved ones lost to gun violence and calling for change.
Kenneth Forbes, founder of Mothers of Murdered Sons and Daughters of Kentucky, said the event was about showing people they can come together to make a difference.
“Even from those of the past that are ready to get off the couch and say, hey, I wanna make a difference, I wanna make a change,” Forbes said. “They’re actually starting to come out now, and they’re seeing the unity that we have, and make this image embedded in people’s minds that, hey, this gun violence is just not normal and it’s not acceptable.”…
