Shively Police make arrest after man found dead from overdose in hotel

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – The Shively Police Department announced it had made an arrest after it found a man dead in a hotel in May.

Officers responded to the Days Inn Hotel on Cane Run Road on May 15 on a reported overdose. Officers arrived to find Charles Scott unresponsive in a room. After lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful, Scott was pronounced dead at the scene.

It was determined that his cause of death was the combined effects of ethanol and fentanyl…
