A 15-year-old boy hailed as a hero after getting stabbed while protecting a young girl who was being harassed earlier this year was fatally shot in Kentucky.
Da’Jon Anthony Hayes-Burr died at a hospital after being shot in Shawnee, a neighborhood in Louisville, according to WDRB, WLKY, WHAS and the Courier Journal. Officials with Louisville Metro Police told the outlets that the shooting happened after 8 p.m. local time on Saturday, July 25.
