Armed robbery, kidnapping suspect ruled competent to stand trial following treatment

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A Louisville man accused in a violent kidnapping and armed robbery will be moving on to trial, following a few months of court-ordered psychiatric treatment.

Prosecutors accuse Armond Langford of using a knife to force a St. Matthews mother with her kids in the car to drive to a nearby bank. Police say Langford then robbed the bank and ran away, but officers caught him hours later.
