Good Saturday, everyone. We have a cold front racing into Kentucky today, bringing a few booming thunderstorms along and ahead of it. What’s coming in behind it is some of the good stuff Sunday into early Next week as a taste of September shows up.
A broken line of showers and storms will develop by early afternoon near the Ohio River between Covington and Louisville. This line will then race toward the southeast, increasing in coverage and intensity. This will bring the potential for pockets of damaging winds and large hail. Lows to start Sunay should reach the upper 50s in many areas, but Monday morning has the chance to be almost chilly. Clear skies, calm winds and dry air mean thermometers reach the low and middle 50s. For valleys that don’t have fog, there’s the outside chance for a few upper 40s.
