Outreach teams in Louisville help people escape extreme heat

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — As dangerously hot weather stretches across Kentucky this week, volunteers in Louisville are urging people experiencing homelessness to seek shelter and get out of the heat.

Aaron Jones, a member of the Good Samaritan Patrol through Wayside Christian Mission, said the group makes daily rounds across Louisville to deliver food, water and information to people living outside.

“So, I know on a day like this, what I need to do is get out here and help as many people as I can,” Jones said…
