KYTC studies improvements to I-65, I-265 interchange in Jefferson County

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is studying ways to improve traffic flow and safety at the I-65 and I-265 Gene Snyder Freeway interchange in Jefferson County.

After months of research and observation, KYTC presented several possible solutions during a public meeting Thursday evening. KYTC Transportation Engineering Supervisor Tom Hall said the interchange has six areas where problems have been identified.

“We have six different areas where there’s problems within the interchange,” Hall said. “And we’d like them to tell us which one needs to be fixed first. And maybe there’s a couple options in each area. Maybe they could tell us which one they like the best.”…
