LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A house in the Shawnee neighborhood has been redeveloped in hopes of making a positive impact on the properties around it.
Adkins & Adkins is a real estate investment group that focuses on fixing up old or abandoned properties, and turning them from eyesores to assets. Their past few projects have been in West Louisville. Through their efforts, they hope to change neighborhoods, one home at a time. Saturday, April 18, they had an open house for a property they just renovated.
“It was like literally the ugly duckling of the neighborhood,” said real estate investor Donnie Adkins. “Possums in and out of the second bedroom. This was one of those things where if we didn’t step in, eventually, within the next five years, the city would have torn this property down. And we didn’t want to let that happen.”…
