Wings of change: Steller’s sea eagles hatch third chick in Louisville Zoo’s history

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A pair of Steller’s sea eagles are nesting with their new seven-day-old eaglet at the Louisville Zoo, according to a news release. Piotr, 30, and Anastasia, eight, hatched the chick on April 14.

The zoo said this is the third Steller’s sea eagle hatchling ever in its 57 years. The first two chicks hatched in 2017.
