LMPD says they’re enforcing the curfew

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — LMPD’s summer task force is coming off a weekend of arrests, including teens out past curfew.

“I know there’s been a lot of talk about juveniles and curfew and how to manage juveniles that are out of control in these teen takeovers, but we want people to know that we do have a curfew here in Louisville and we are enforcing it,” said LMPD Deputy Chief Emily McKinley. “While officers were in the Bardstown Road area, they observed a 16-year-old who was intoxicated, and jumping on cars, causing some disorderly conduct.”

McKinley said in a news conference Wednesday, the teen was charged with alcohol intoxication, disorderly conduct, and was cited for the curfew violation…
