Jamey Noel prison letters: former sheriff says he’s ‘living for the lord,’ accuses judge of bias

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The WHAS11 FOCUS Team has received exclusive letters from former Clark County Sheriff Jamey Noel, as he continues a 12-year prison sentence for his 27 felonies.

This is just the second time Noel has spoken to media or the public since his case began, with the first time being his tear-filled address to the community at his final sentencing on Oct. 14, 2024.

The communication started in late February when FOCUS Reporter Travis Breese sent Noel a letter asking if he would do an interview from prison about his case. Noel responded with 30 pages of handwritten letters he sent to Gov. Mike Braun in August 2025 about his case. The letters were mostly full of allegations from Noel about being mistreated by multiple people involved in the case…
