LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – With temperatures expected to reach triple digits, the Lubbock Police Department is reminding residents that leaving a child or animal in a car is dangerous.
Kasie Davis with the Lubbock Police Department said the law applies to children 7 years old and under who are left alone in a vehicle for more than five minutes.
There is an exception if there is an individual who is 14 years or older in the car with that child. Davis said that may protect someone from committing a crime, but that does not make it much safer…
