1 dead in East Lubbock shooting, suspect in custody

LUBBOCK, Texas — As of Saturday, July 25, the Lubbock Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit is currently investigating an overnight shooting that left one person dead in East Lubbock.

According to Lubbock Police officials, officers were initially called to the 2900 block of East Auburn Street at 1:59 a.m. for reports of shots fired.
