LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A man is dead and another is jailed on a murder charge following a shooting in northeast Lubbock early Saturday. Investigators say a large crowd then gathered, making it difficult for officials to work the scene.
The Lubbock Police Department was called to a home on East Auburn Street, near Parkway Drive inside of Northeast Loop 289, at 1:59 a.m. Responding officers found Stephon Jones, 37, with a gunshot wound. Jones died at the scene.
